S04E10: Friday The 6th: Rainbow Siege

We did it, we bought Rainbow Six Siege. Jake was ecstatic, Mike was pretty pleased, Ben…not so much. We also all spent some time with Hollow Knight, Mike also played Assassin’s Creed Odyssey, Ben played Civilization 6, and Jake played more Ace Combat 7.

For news we have the official sell off of all Ubisoft stock owned by Vivendi, the first Tetris 99 tournament, the next two games coming to Nintendo Switch Online, a release date for Judgement, and Friday The 13th: The Game coming to the Nintendo Switch.

S04E09: March PS+ Games, Reggie Retires

Big surprise, Mike is playing Trials Rising and even with some of its issues, he is absolutely loving it, along with more Assassin’s Creed Odyssey and Apex Legends. Jake finished the Odyssey story, another run of Resident Evil 2, restarted Hollow Knight, and is nearing the end of Ace Combat 7. Ben started both Hollow Knight and Civilization 6: Gathering Storm.

The end of February brings us the Playstation Plus games for March, the upcoming retirement of Reggie Fils-Aime, release dates for Resident Evils 0, 1, and 4 for the Nintendo Switch, a large update for Assassin’s Creed Odyssey, a free starter pack for Hitman 2, the canceling of Overkill’s Walking Dead game, a new Pokemon game, and a collaboration between Horizon Zero Dawn and PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds.

S04E08: Operation Dungeon Heist: Darkest Siege 2

Finally a week without a new game, but we still had plenty to play. Mike played through SUPERHOT, and spent more time with Apex Legends and Enter the Gungeon. Ben completed the Blood and Wine expansion for The Witcher 3, another playthrough of Symphony of the Night, and also played some Apex Legends. Jake finished the story of Assassin’s Creed: Odyssey, while playing a lot of Ace Combat 7.

Light news week with the reveal of Black Ops 4’s next Blackout Operation, a Playstation Plus deal for new/lapsed subscribers, and the announcements of Darkest Dungeon 2 and Haven.

S04E07: Nintendo Direct, Resident Evil 2

Mike has finished Resident Evil 2, Jake is nowhere near finishing Assassin’s Creed Odyssey, and Ben very early in the Witcher 3 “Blood and Wine” expansion. We all spent time with Apex Legends, The Division 2 beta, and the Devil May Cry 5 demo.

News is monumental with Nintendo Direct announcing a ton of new games and updates, a bunch of classic RPGs coming to consoles, Rocket League getting cross-party support, release dates for World War Z, Assassin’s Creed 3 Remastered, and Dangerous Driving, along with news on Year 4 of Rainbow Six Siege.

S04E06: Apex Legends

Games, games, and more games. Mike played through Bayonetta 2, and more of Hitman 2 2 along with Enter the Gungeon. Ben has given up on Dragon Quest 11 but started up the Blood & Wine expansion for The Witcher 3. Jake finished Kingdom Hearts 3 and is on the quest for a Platinum, but started up both Assassin’s Creed Odyssey and For Honor.

The surprise release of Apex Legends tops news this week, along with our great experience with it so far, another Titanfall-related release coming in 2019, new Need for Speed and Plants vs. Zombies games this year, Guacamelee! 1 and 2 getting a combo physical release, and more characters announced for Mortal Kombat 11.

S04E05: PAX South 2019 Recap

Everyone is feeling (mostly) better! Now Mike is able to recap his time at PAX South 2019 including all the games he previewed! Also, he’s been playing Bayonetta 2 and absolutely loving it, while remembering how crazy that series can get. Ben is very deep into Dragon Quest 11, and Jake is even deeper into the world of Kingdom Hearts (all of them).

News this week is the PS+ games for February, a new Humble Bundle for PS4, new info on Path of Exile for PS4, Resident Evil 2 getting a free expansion in February, Overwatch getting a permanent price drop, and a record year for the video games industry.

For our Top 5, we pick five games we say we are going to go back and play, but honestly never will.

S04E04: PAX Pox

Jake and Mike are both worn down, but we power through anyway! Mike is pushing off his PAX South recap until next week, while Jake has nearly finished Kingdom Hearts 2, and has given up on Resident Evil 4 (for now), Ben has continued with Madden while binging a ton of TV.

News is fairly light this week with a new mode revealed for the Resident Evil 2 remake, Realm Royale entering open beta on PS4, the Anthem beta available for pre-load, and Farming Simulator is getting an esports league?!

In place of a Top 5 this week, we talk about the mess that was the NFL Conference Championship games of the past weekend.
